To the Public

Appalling, demoralizing, and infuriating to witness the unfortunate barbaric abuse of the doctors,
Absence of preventive measures, no pandemic rules followed, nor was any proper hygiene maintained but no it was the wrongdoing of the assumed “capitalistic, materialistic” doctor.
From the dogmatic VIPs to the ignorant public,
from the deitificated hilly billies to the woke anti-vaxxers,
the latter or the virus we are battling is the dubiety of every doctor.

A sportsperson is never attacked when he fails to win Olympic gold,
nor is a scientist who accidentally unleashes a lethal contagious cold.
A leader is rarely attacked for his actions or his seemingly biased comments,
nor is your boss who casually lets out offensive and workplace inappropriate comments.
But a doctor is very eccentric for he is both a God and a devil in the eyes of the public.

Drowned in the mirage of fiction extensively which has made us permanently blind to the happenings of the real world.
On one hand crying, cheering, and rooting for the nanosuited Ironman,
on the other ignoring, demonizing, and destroying the efforts of the Plastic-clad Stethoscopeman.

If support and empathy is too huge a request to ask for,
how about a request for leaving them alone and a guarantee that you won’t kill them anymore.
