Making Humanity Great Again

Branded by the shade of one’s skin,
driven us out, locked us within.
Uncouth, unworthy and uncivilized was their cry,
by race, by gender, by orientation and destroy was all they did try.

Wealth plundered, women raped and children enslaved,
bodies whipped and genocides normalised but still a long shot from destroying their soul.

Such is the power of a soul that for every misogynistic khal it births an even stronger Khaleesi,
defiance, belief and a value system so powerful that just by non-violence destroyed was the oppressor’s iron-clad control.

Polices my clothes in the name of modesty and religion, yet doesn’t even spare the toddlers from his lustful sight,
for all the fake words and affirmations of love and marriage, all he wants is a slave who puts up no fight and warms his bed every night.

Too emotional if I express myself and a man-hating feminazi if I don’t,
fragile if I need some support and a bossy self-centred rebel when I don’t.

Brands us as naturally dumb as we are not “smart”, but throws a hissy fit whenever he gets rejected by a girl,
parroting always about how I lack the brains to do any job, but without me can’t even find his phone without a twirl.

For every Sir Issac Newton there is a Madam Marie Curie, for every Neil Armstrong there is a Sunita Williams,
It has nothing to do with the colour of your skin or your gender, only an open-minded well trained sane mind is capable of such brilliance.

Diversity is not a fight and inclusivity is not a topic to debate,
Equality and Feminism aren’t any propaganda, neither of the left nor of the weak.

These are just basic ideals every human with a functioning heart can feel,
The past is past so let’s shape our present ensuring our children inherit a future that’s truly great.
